Biography
Dr. Fabiyi Oluwole Samson is the acting Executive Secretary of the State Primary Health Care Development Board. He had his first degree in Biochemistry from the University of Ibadan before he proceeded to study and obtain his M.B.Ch.B in 1995, at Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife.
Dr. Fabiyi has a Masters’ degree in Public Health from O.A.U. and a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration from LAUTECH, Ogbomoso. He is a member of the West African College of Physicians and a Fellow of the same College.
Dr. Fabiyi was a former Vice Chairman and later Chairman of Association Medical Officers of Health in Nigeria, Osun State Chapter, and also a former Director of Primary Health Care at the Local Government level before the establishment of State Primary Health Care Board. He served as Director of Medical Service and Disease Control at the Board before becoming the Acting Executive Secretary of the Agency since November 2018.

The ES office is responsible for:
• the coordination of planning, budgetary provision and monitoring of all Primary Health Care Services in the State
• domesticate and disseminate policies, guidelines and standard operating procedures developed by the National Primary Health Care Development Agency and the Federal Ministry of Health on primary health care services delivery
• recruitment, promotion, posting, transfer, train and discipline staff on grade level 7 and above on the advice and approval of the local government service commission
• payment of salaries and allowance to primary health care staff employed by the Board, and so on.
