Name of Director: Mr. Adebayo Adeyanju
Position: Director Health Planning, Research and Statistics.
Biography

He was born on 22nd Oct. 1960 at Iragbiji, Boripe Local Govt. He attended L.A. primary School, Iragbiji between 1967 and 1972; Oke -Iragbiji Grammar School, Iragbiji between 1976 and 1981; School of Health Technology, Ilesa between 1984 and 1987; University of Nigeria, Nsukka between 1993 and 1998; and Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso between 2016 and 2018.

Certificates obtained includes: Primary School leaving Certificate-1972; West African School Certificate-1981; Diploma for Public Health Superintendent-1987; BSc. Health Education-1998; MSc Environmental Health Management 2018. Certificate in Health Planning Management 2005 from University of Ilorin and Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation from RIPA London in 2010.

 

Mrs. Afolasade Ayoka Ibrahim – Deputy Director Health Planning Research and Statistics

She was born on the 23rd October, 1970 at Ile Ogbo in Ayedire local government of Osun State. She attended Methodist primary school, Ile Ogbo from 1976-1982. Luther King's college, Ile Ogbo from 1982-1987; School of Health Technology from 1989-1990; University College Hospital, Ibadan from 1990-1994; University of Ibadan, Ibadan from 2005-2007; Federal University of Technology, Akure 2010 and Adeleke University, Ede from 2017-2019.

Certificate/Degree obtained includes: Certificate in Medical Records and Statistics; Health Records and Biostatistics (HND); Certificate in Data Processing; Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management; and a Masters in Health Information Management.

Mrs. Afolasade Ayoka Ibrahim is married with children.

 

Mrs. Sikirat Bolanle Fatunade – Deputy Director of M&E, Department of Health Planning, Research and Statistics

Mrs. Sikirat Bolanle Fatunade was born on the 2nd of June, 1960 to the family of Alhaji & Alhaja Balogun at Ile-Ife, Ife Central Local Government of Osun State. She has a Diploma in Public Health Superintendent from School of Health Technology, Ilesa in 1987; West African Health Examination Board Certificate (WAHEB) - 1987; Diploma for Tutors of Health Science from the University College Hospital, Ibadan in 2005; B Sc. in Health Education from Lagos State University (LASU) in 2007 and MSc. in Health Management from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso in 2012. She also has a Certificate of Competence in M&E from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

She was employed as a Public Health Superintendent in training in 1984 in the then old Oyo State and has risen to the rank of Deputy Director (Environmental Health). She is presently functioning as the Board M & E Lead.

She is happily married and blessed with promising children.

 

The Department of Planning, Research and Statistics (PRS) coordinates aspects of activities across departments and liaise with development partners in their relationships with the agency. The department is currently structured into the following Divisions:

  1. Monitoring and Evaluation Division
  2. Health Information Systems Development Division
  3. Operations Research Division

It is statutorily mandated to coordinate and manage:

  1. Policy Formulation and Analysis;
  2. Socio-Economic Research;
  3. Strategies for Programme/Project Implementation;
  4. Building a Reliable Data Bank;
  5. Management Information System; and
  6. Monitoring and Evaluation of Projects/Programmes.
