The department came into existence at the commencement of operation of the State Primary Health Care Board on the 24th February, 2017.

The department:-

1. develops, maintain and implement nursing policies and procedures that conform to current standard of Nursing practice, facility philosophy and operational policies while maintaining compliance with State and Federal laws and regulations.
2. Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff and monitors staff practices and implementation.
3. Ensures the delivery of compassionate quality care and nursing supervision as evidenced by adequate services and staff coverage on unit.

NAME OF DIRECTOR – MRS. PHEBEAN OMOYEMI ALO

Biography: A registered Nurse from Kwara State Teaching Hospital School of Nursing- May 1989; Registered Midwife, School of Midwifery, Osogbo- 1998; Bachelor of Nursing Science from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN)- 2014; Master’s in Public Health, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso- 2016.

She has worked with the Oyo State Hospital Management Board     between Nov. 1989 and Aug. 27, 1991; Osun State Hospital Management Board between Aug. 27th 1991 and 24th Feb. 2017; State of Primary Health Care Board between Feb. 24 2017 and present.

NAME OF DEPUTY DIRECTOR: - MRS. ESTHER MOFOLUWAKE

Biography: a registered Nurse from Oyo State School of Nursing, Eleyele, Ibadan- 1991; Registered Midwife, School of Midwifery, Oluyoro, Ibadan- 1993; B.Sc Nursing Administration, Imo State University- 2006; Master in Public Health, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso- 2018

She has with Oke Ola Catholic Hospital, Apomu, Osun State between 1993 and 1994; State of Osun Local Government Service Commission between 1994 and 2018 and the State of Osun Primary Health Care Board from 2018 till date.
